I heard what sounded like a faint cry at first I thought it was maybe some kind of bird but sounded more like a distressed cry. Started looking around to figure out what the heck it was.

Surprised not noticed in this busy parking lot or that the kitten not get crushed. Strangely he did not move so picked him up and at least he hissed at me.

Snotgirl1 Thank you for saving that tiny kitten If you get a chance can you go back to the area soon and take a look around to see if there are other kittens there and/or mama cat? If you have a feral cat rescue group in your town or county they might be able to help with catching and spaying mama cat and her kittens. Best of luck to you all

meshreplacer OP I checked and no luck. Will try at night with a thermal imager and see if I can find the mom and the litter. Strange that she was alone like that. Going to take to vet and see if the kitten is ok.

Artistic-Salary1738 I know very little about kittens that young, but Reddit has taught me you have to stimulate them them to ? So maybe Google that for instructions. And definitely take the little criminal to the vet as soon as you can to get him checked out for overall health.

Honestly shocked you saw him, glad he was being noisy enough to save himself. May you have many years with this adorable little floof.

meshreplacer OP Yeah read about doing that. I was surprised no one noticed or maybe they did and just walked by. No way I could just leave him there to di just so I can go about my day.

olivefreak Take the little guy to the vet. It's weird the way there's no fur on the back upper foot, it could be from an injury. Cats are known to hitch a ride in an engine compartment, I wonder if that's what happened here?

Worried-Pick4848 Kitten looks about 4-5 weeks old. Way too young to survive without their mother, something must have happened. Thanks for saving the baby.
